Blogging Ahead Of Time – Planning And Organising Your Topics And Titles

If you blog on a regular basis then it is worth paying attention to this very basic yet effective advice that is often forgotten in our busy and hectic schedules.

Plan ahead, create a schedule and assign a theme or topic for every day / every week. For example on Friday at WNW Digital our readers will know that they will be able to find our weekly round-up blog. Having a reoccurring theme can often help attract a unique and generous following. These readers that return week in week out clearly express an interest in the topics that you are blogging about and more than likely appreciate depth and knowledge that you are providing within your blog.

Depending on how frequently you blog will influence how often you will need to sit down and create a list of possible blogging topics. For example if you blog weekly perhaps at the beginning of the month you could set some time aside and research and write a list of possible topics / titles that you can use for the month ahead. Of course if you are blogging more frequently, perhaps on a daily basis then coming up with a whole month’s content in one sitting is likely to be a bit more of a challenge. In this instance it might be worth setting some time aside each week to plan your content for the week ahead.

Having said that even though you should have a collection of blogs prepared in advance it is worth frequently checking for any breaking or relevant news that might be related to the industry / field that you are blogging about. Remember with blogging you want to position yourself as the industry expert so it is vital that your entries are relevant and current keeping your readers up to date with any breaking / important news.

There are plenty of other tips and techniques out there to help you become a blogging expert but it is important to remember that the basics to creating and managing your blogging schedule should always be considered first.
