There are many social media channels out there offering a variety of disadvantages and advantages to the social folk of the world. However one of the most popular yet underrated social media channels Pinterest is not utilised by a lot businesses. The image dominated social media channel has left many businesses unsure of how they can make Pinterest work for them.

In this blog entry, I provide some basic examples of how different businesses can make Pinterest work for them.

Clothes Store – this might be one of the most obvious choices, yet organisation of a clothes store Pinterest board is critical to its success. Here are some examples of ways in which you might opt to organise your boards. Seasons, style, colour, upcoming events, customer outfits are all great suggestions of ways in which you can bring your boards to life. Remember to link the items through to your website if you are an eCommerce business.

Landscape Gardener – again this is a perfect business to advertise on Pinterest. Create different boards for example one of completed gardens, a before and after board, garden equipment, gardens with water features and so on. Link through to your website or include your contact details.

A Digital Marketing Agency – you need to make this visual! Create exciting and attractive info graphics. Organise your boards by social media, SEO, ppc and so on. Remember to link through to relevant blog entries on your website.
