How To Improve Your SEO Using Google +

SEO is an important factor that can not only increase your brand awareness but also increase your sales as your website begins to list in a better position and has the potential to be seen by a greater number of people. There are lots of different methods for improving your SEO, however for the purpose of this blog entry we are going to look at the relationship between SEO and social media… in particular the relationship between SEO and Google +.

It is being proven that your Google + page can be very influential on your SEO and website listings. Therefore it is important that you concentrate and spend time improving your Google + page by optimising the content that you post on Google +.

Follow this basic advice and see your SEO improve:

  • META TAGS, it is fundamental that you fill out any Meta tags on any of your web pages. However if there is just one page that you are going to concentrate on make it your Google + page. You can edit your META Title and META Description.
  • Company Details- embed your company details, include your company’s tag line, profile picture and create a powerful branded message. You can also link your Company Website to your Google + page. This will allow Google + and the search engines to see that your business is credible. In addition to this it is also a great way of driving further traffic to your website.
  • Regular Content, you should aim to keep your Google + page frequently updated. It is important that when you are writing your content to be posted on Google + whether this is a simple status, YouTube video or link to a blog entry, it is vital that you include your keywords where possible.
  • Signature, if you are producing content for your Google + page you should want your readers to know that it was you who produced it. At the bottom of your articles you can include a signature / authorship. This will attribute the content to you, again promoting your credibility.

Following these steps will put you in good stead for improving your SEO, however it is important to remember that these are only basic actions and there are plenty of other steps that can be considered to improve your SEO.
