Our development team have been at it again, this time making Plymouth Mobility Centre’s website responsive to mobile devices.
This is a fantastic feature for their business from an SEO point of view because it now means that Google will rank the business higher in the search engines because they will outrank responsive websites compared to those which aren’t.
The responsive design makes it easier and more efficient for Google to crawl, index and organize content, compared to having a separate mobile site which has a different URL and HTML to the desktop version, thus forcing Google to crawl and index multiple versions of the same site.
User experience is also a ranking factor with Google and having a responsive website makes user experience better, thus increasing their position in the search engines and with the massive amount of people who visit websites on a mobile device, it will increase traffic to the site.
Also it is brilliant for any social media campaigns that link to the website, because there are over 934 million mobile daily users of Facebook alone so having a responsive site increases the chances of clicks through the website and sales.
