Facebook Introduces Multi – Product Ads

Facebook has introduced a new ad option that not only allows marketers to advertise one product but a huge three products all in one post! This is expected to be a huge success as marketers no longer have to focus their advertising efforts solely on one product.

The new ads are available on desktops, mobiles and tablets. On mobiles the three products are displayed in a rolling banner, with the edge of the next image being displayed down the side so that users are aware that there are more products to be viewed. In addition to this, each of the images is accompanied with a description and link so that customers are able to direct to the product on the website that it is being sold from.

According to the Facebook Business Blog, Nomorerack have used this approach and have seen their “click through rates rise as much as 42% and its cost per acquisition decrease between 42% and 45%.”

I predict that fashion retailers will find this update particularly useful as they can target their customers with whole outfit inspirations. Whereas before their ad might have been displaying a best-selling dress they could now advertise the best-selling dress alongside for example a pair of shoes and a stylish handbag that would complete the outfits look!

In order to be able to advertise in this manner you will need to being using Facebook Ads API.
