Google have recently launched Expanded Text Adverts for smartphones and have seen a 20% increase in click through rates for the companies using them.
Working with tech partner Kenshoo, who are the first multi publisher solution capable of creating, editing, optimising, tracking and viewing the Extended Text Adverts, Google have allowed 50% more text on Google Adwords and have seen a far greater amount of users clicking on those ads.
Currently over 45 advertisers from the top 1000 have used the extended text ads using Kenshoo and over 40% of weekly advert spend has been used by companies testing the new format..
The Extended Text Adverts offer far more powerful headlines, longer descriptions about their products or services and also gives automatic URL inclusions. This is a fantastic way for advertisers to get more information to the users about the thing they are advertising and with more information means a far greater chance of clicks.
It’s been reported that another 400 advertisers have jumped on board the Kenshoo full platform and will begin testing their own Extended Text Adverts throughout Autumn and introduce it fully for the Christmas shopping period.
