Exmouth Community College Careers Fair

Managing Director Nigel Wilkinson and I were happy to represent WNW Digital at the careersCareers Faire fair that was hosted by Exmouth Community
College yesterday evening.

Hundreds of students and parents were in attendance at the event which gives students a better understanding of where they want to pursue a career and in what field, while also having the opportunity to talk to some universities like Bath Spa, Plymouth and Bournemouth.

Many students came to our stall, with the majority looking for a career in web or graphic design and we were able to explain the types of roles that are available in web design, examples of websites that our development team have built for existing customers and most importantly offer them advice on the courses to study, universities to look at and good ways of building contacts.

It was also a good way to give students an insight into Digital Marketing and how it is possible to become a digital marketer without having a degree in that field, with me being the perfect example as I have a Sports Journalism degree!

Nigel said: “It was a great evening at the college and to see so many young people enthusiastic to begin a career in web design, was really brilliant to see and who knows, we may have some of them join our team in the next few years.

“We thank Exmouth Community College for inviting us to attend such a successful evening and we look forward to attending again in the future.”
